The Hormone Fixing Industry: Where Evidence Ends and Marketing Begins

Hormones have become the new marketing frontier.

Everything is hormonal now.
Your weight.
Your bloating.
Your mood.
Your fatigue.
Your cravings.
Your motivation.

And while hormones absolutely matter, the way they are being sold to women often does not.

Somewhere between evidence and Instagram, nuance got lost.

Why Hormones Became the Perfect Product

Hormones are invisible.

You cannot see them directly.
You cannot measure them easily at home.
You cannot feel them in isolation from everything else.

There is strong evidence for:

• sufficient calories
• sleep duration and quality
• stress reduction

There is far less robust evidence for:

• cycle syncing everything
• seed cycling
• expensive hormone balancing supplements
• blanket adaptogen prescriptions
• single nutrient fixes without context

The truth is less glamorous than marketing.

Hormones respond to environment and consistency, not quick fixes.


The Seduction of the Quick Explanation

If you are doing “everything right” and not seeing results, being told your hormones are broken feels validating.

It removes blame.
It gives direction.
It offers hope.

But the hormone fixing industry often skips the foundational questions.

Are you under fuelling.
Are you over training.
Are you sleeping poorly.
Are you chronically stressed.
